Question by light: Can my dog travel with air canada?
under my seat in a carrier with me at all times?

my dog is small and weighs about 14lbs and the carrier is 10 inches high,15 inches wide and 16 inches in length and is soft ,waterproof and has ventilation on three sides . I have all health records, vaccinations and identification for her. also i will bring in a seperate bag a small bottle of water and a small bag of food with foldable pet bowls.
i will be travelling internationally for a 10 hour flight from london to vancouver. Im unsure what type of plane as of yet but it will be around april time.

Question by jit bag: question about in-flight pet carrier?
if my carrier’s height is off by an inch, what happens? it’s a soft-sided carrier for my cat to travel in, which is pretty flexible. the length and width are fine. an airline agent told me that when you check in with the pet, they do a quick run-through of precautions to make sure everything is safe.

my cat is 11 lbs, and the max is 20, so she has plenty of room, which is important to me because i want her to be comfortable. are they really going to measure the bag? do i need to buy a small one which may make her uncomfortable?
by the by, i did ask the airline, and they quoted me the dimensions. i know it will fit under the seat. the stupid thing is, its the Sherpa brand bag, which is meant for flying.. ridiculous.
umm, any suggestions for additional bags? the medium sherpa is 10.5″ H and i need it to be 9″ H. the smaller one is too small for my chubby kitty cat. .. help???

I need to travel and have a small dog and a carrier, would it be possible to sneak him on the train? Do they check passengers luggage upon boarding?

You’ll have to check with the companies accompanying pet policy. Most should have it right on their website.

PS
don’t bring your pot. More than a few times I’ve seen police dogs poking their noses around bags- though not every time is gauranteed.

I need a bag or tote to keep all my dog’s things in because i travel a lot.Ive looked at diaper bags but they look too babyish. i want a modern bag that isnt expensive.Any ideas?

You could try a sports bag. Or if it’s not really a lot of stuff you can get a pretty nice tote from Shop Rite.
