Just saved a 7 week old puppy, what now?

Question by jade: Just saved a 7 week old puppy, what now?
We have 2 other dogs, 1 year and 3 years. I’ve never had a puppy so small. She has no idea how to pee outside, and we obviously can’t give her free roam. We thought about putting her in a cat carrier. She’ll need to pee. How long can we keep her in there? What if we have to leave for 9 hours, what should we do then?

Food, treats (for training), crate, crate pads, food and water bowls, toys (so it doesn’t chew on inappropriate items), if you travel with your pup- get bottled water, stuff to clean up after the pup. If the pup is very young, don’t let it out with other pups until its shots are up to date.

Question by one_small_difference: What steps can I take to make an in-cabin flight comfortable for my 8 week old puppy and the other passengers?
I will be flying to pup from England to the U.S. I will ship the carrier to the breeder prior to my picking the pup up so she can get him used to being in the carrier. I have purchased some moisture locking pads for the crate. Anything else I should do? I want him to be calm and comfortable so he doesn’t cry and disturb the other passengers. Thanks!
