Question by Ashlynn: I need a carrier for my dog. Where is the best place to get one?
I just got a chihuahua. I need a bag to carry her in if I go anywhere (liking traveling). I want something comfortable for her. I’d like it to be cute and something I’d want to carry. I really love this one, but its too big (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=huc_ic_6_txt/601-5598301-6801760?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B000MRFYIO&nodeID=&merchantID=A1VC38T7YXB528). I’m looking for something about $ 35 or less. Also something with a cleanable inside.
Thanks in advance!!

Wal-Mart has a nice, lightweight carrier that will do the job. I got one for dog shows. It sells for around eighteen dollars and one side has mesh so the dog can see out. Both ends have zippers. It works great and my Chihuahuas love it.

Question by dmaniladrift: Question about traveling on a plane with your dog.?
My dog is a 27 pound Blue Heeler. She is pretty small for her breed. I can carry her almost like a toy dog, except she’s heavier. She’s about 17″ high. Here’s a picture of her length and how small she is.

I believe that I would be able to take her on the plane with me if I got a tote bag big enough for her, correct? I’ve flown plenty of times across country, and judging by how small she is, I think she’d be able to fit under the seat with room left to move around. I need opinions as I am a first time dog flyer and I refuse to have her put down in cargo, but I would love to take her with me on trips. I’ve seen a few bags for 28 pound dogs online and at Wal Mart. Would this work, or is there a weight/height limit for dogs being taken on board? Any information from people who have experience with flying dogs would be great, thanks.
lol, dogs CAN travel in the main cabin if they’re small enough, that’s exactly why i was asking.

Question by dixieland delight: Where can I find a carry on bag for my dog. She’s a chihuahua.?
The airlines says the carrier can only be 9 inches tall, but everywhere i’ve looked only has 10 inch tall carriers. Has anyone else run into this problem and might know where i can get one. It’s american airlines too.

Question by Grits M: Help me choose a dog.?
My grandmother decided that we should get a puppy, both as a future watch/guard dog and a Christmas present to the family.
But she wants a toy dog, which I don’t think are quite cut out to be guard dogs.
Right now we’re trying to choose between a miniature schnauzer and a bull terrier.
I’m leaning towards the bull terrier, because it’s a better guard dog and also because my younger sister wouldn’t be able to pick it up and carry it around like a tote bag as easily, like she does with our cat.
However grandma is leaning towards the schnauzer, because it’s cuter. Even though it couldn’t possibly be a suitable guard dog, and the whole reason she wants a dog is for protection. Although they are said to be good watch dogs.
Help?
Big dogs like labs a German shepherds are out of the question for her. Which is weird because she originally wanted a Rottweiler, until my mom talked her out of it.
The only reason I don’t really like the schnauzer is because if someone were to enter our house at night or while we were away, it wouldn’t be able to do much but bark. Which would alert us to an intruder, but my grandmother is honestly concerned about four females (Her, me, my mom, and my 8 year old sister.) living alone in this bad neighborhood.
