we went on our first camping trip of the season this weekend at Nancy Lake. here Zach packs out the dogs’ bed with some creative engineering using their leashes to make backpack straps.

Carrying the empty cart back for another load

I don’t have a fancy backpack, but I do have a wire feed welder, and a pile of bike parts and scrap metal in my back yard. I made this cart out of a bike fork from a 3 speed, the front wheel (complete with spokey dokes) , stem and handlebars off some kid bike, and parts cut off of a futon frame. The orange canvas slings I made from a cot that my dog had torn apart.
