Anyone travel American airlines, in cabin, with a 13 lb pet. What carrier did you use to fit under the seat?

13lb sounds a bit too big for in-cabin! If somehow AA allows it , the best pet carrier would be a soft-sided pet carrier. Don’t ever buy even the smallest hard-sided carrier, 99% of them just won’t fit under the seat. Go to AA website and check the dimensions for in-cabin pet carrier.

Yep. I travelled with my cat in a soft-sided Delta Sherpa bag. It worked great. I had him knocked out with a tranquilizer from the vet and he was sleepy the whole way. It’s best to have your pet knocked out because it’s pretty stressful. Hardly anyone noticed my kitty wasn’t just a carry-on. But be prepared to move though if someone sitting beside you is allergic. (They’ll more likely move you not the other person.) Also be prepared for the extra $ 80 or so to take your pet in cabin. Good luck!
